A Smart Choice for the In-between Times
Life happens, job changes take place, health plans end, and new ones are set to begin. Sometimes as those events take place, gaps in services occur, placing individuals and families at risk. Now, people no longer have to worry when a lapse in healthcare occurs. With InterimCare, members know their families are cared for regardless of what else is happening.

What is interim healthcare?
InterimCare is designed for the transition times of life. Whether members are relocating, changing jobs, or simply feel like starting over, they can continue to assure themselves with interim healthcare for the “what if’s” of life. As the name implies, it is intended for a short period of time, 11 months or less. If a person is going to need healthcare for a period of more than 11 months, a Trinity comprehensive healthcare program or standard program should be considered.
Trinity’s interim health program services
Not designed to act as fully as comprehensive healthcare, the Interim Medical healthcare program still gives complete healthcare services. Members have access to primary care physicians, urgent care, preventive medicine and visits, telemedicine, specialty services, labs, hospital services, surgical services, emergency room visits, and ambulance services. Depending on the program level, prescriptions may have discounts applied after the member shared responsibility amount (MSRA) has been met.
With telemedicine, doctors are only a phone call away, anytime, anyplace. With interim healthcare, members have free, unlimited access to a U.S. board-certified doctor by either telephone or video conference who can write a prescription if needed. The level of program dictates how many doctor’s office visits a member can have during the program length; but with telemedicine, seeing the doctor just became unlimited, comfortable, and convenient.
Since emergencies are never planned, every program comes with emergency room and ambulance services. Cost sharing kicks in after the MSRA has been met. Up to three visits within the 11-month period can be made to an urgent care facility, depending on the program level.
However, because it is a short term interim-care health program, it doesn’t have everything a Trinity standard health program would possess. Eye exams and vision care are not included. Normal pregnancies, fertility treatments, and infertility diagnosis are not eligible for cost sharing. People with pre-existing conditions should also consider a different Trinity individual program option.
The difference between interim medical program and major medical
Major medical typically includes preventive care, a prescription drug program, emergency services, hospitalization, and its associated costs. While carrying major medical can be reassuring during times of transition, the soaring costs of healthcare and rigid open enrollment periods have made it very difficult and often unattainable for many hard-working Americans.
Trinity programs are not considered insurance which means they don’t have to cut through the red tape required by traditional insurance mandates. Trinity programs such as InterimCare allow members to achieve comparable cost assurances during times of transition for short-term healthcare services (including access to primary care physicians, urgent care, preventive visits, telemedicine, specialty services, labs, hospitalizations, surgeries, emergency room visits, and ambulatory services) at a much lower cost because they are supported by a healthcare sharing organization that facilitates medical cost sharing between members.
How Trinity’s interim healthcare programs work
Trinity’s InterimCare has certain items that are completely eligible at no additional cost to the member. These include telemedicine and one preventive visit per term. Other items have co-expenses. Generally, the co-expenses apply after the MSRA is met and is figured at a percentage of the total cost. Members can choose to set their MSRA to either $1,000, $2,500, $5,000, or $10,000.
When considering the next steps of life, people shouldn’t let the question of healthcare keep them from being bold. With Trinity HealthShare’s short-term InterimCare, stepping out to the next adventure in life just got easier.
