Access to Health Care in Times of Transition

Life happens, job changes take place, health plans end, and new ones are set to begin. Sometimes as those events take place, gaps in services occur, placing individuals and families at risk. Now, people no longer have to worry when life takes another direction. With InterimCare, members know their families are cared for regardless of what else is happening.

What is InterimCare?

InterimCare is designed for the transition times of life. Whether members are relocating, changing jobs, or simply feel like starting over, they can continue to assure themselves with interim health care for the “what if’s” of life. As the name implies, it is intended for a short period of time, 11 months or less. If a person is going to need health care for a period of more than 11 months, a Trinity comprehensive health care program or standard program should be considered.

InterimCare Services

InterimCare is specifically designed to provide a full spectrum of comprehensive cost-sharing options for individuals and families during times of transition. Members have access to, and sharing eligibility for, services such as primary care, urgent care, preventive care, telemedicine, specialists, lab work, hospitalization, surgery, emergency room visits and ambulance services. All InterimCare programs offer a prescription discount and, depending on tier, additional sharing may be available after the Member Shared Responsibility Amount (MSRA) has been met. The MSRA reflects the amount of personal responsibility and stewardship members are expected to demonstrate; in other words, the amount a member must pay before asking others in the program to share in the cost of medical expenses.

Doctors are only a phone call away, anytime, anyplace with telemedicine. With monthly contributions, InterimCare members have access to board-certified physicians who diagnose, treat and prescribe medication for many health-related issues over the phone and through a secure Internet connection or application, 24/7/365. Program tier dictates how many doctor’s office visits a member can have during the program length; but with telemedicine, seeing the doctor just became comfortable, and convenient whenever care is needed.

Since emergencies are never planned, every program comes with sharing eligibility for emergency room and ambulance services, as well as visits to urgent care facilities, for a low consult fee.

Because InterimCare is meant to be temporary, normal pregnancies, fertility treatments, and infertility diagnoses are not eligible for cost sharing. Eye exams and vision care are not included, and people with pre-existing conditions should consider other options from Trinity HealthShare. Please review program details carefully before selecting InterimCare.

How InterimCare Works

InterimCare members receive telemedicine and prescription discounts included with monthly contributions. Some services, like urgent care, simply require a flat consult fee. Others require a co-expense (a stated percentage of medical expenses that the member is required to pay after the MSRA has been met). Generally, the co-expenses apply after the MSRA is met and is figured at a percentage of the total cost. Members can choose to set their MSRA to either $1,000, $2,500, $5,000, or $10,000.

InterimCare is specifically designed to provide a full spectrum of comprehensive cost-sharing options for individuals and families during times of transition. This program offers three tiers of health care sharing with robust services and terms available for each from 30 to 364 days.
